USING BLACKBOX

1. The BlackBox App is a tested, safe, and secure mobile Android application with the goal of soon being accessible to the Google Playstore and Apple Appstore.  Once installed, we highly recommend doing a full test of the app so that you are not delayed by having to allow permissions during an emergency situation.

2. Please allow BlackBox permission to take pictures and record video.  Also allow the app to access photos, media and files on your device.

 

 

3. Video files recorded by the BlackBox app are fairly large and depending on the length of the recording, may not fit into email and text messages.  We recommend that your mobile device is connected to a cloud storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft One Drive, or the phone cloud storage provided by your phone brand's manufacturer (Samsung, Motorola, etc.).  Recording live to social media sites is currently unavailable.  We anticipate the ability to record live to social media will be available in a later revision.  Make sure you have an ample amount of space in your cloud storage service in order to ensure your file will fully save to that location. Also make sure that you are logged into the accounts of these applications, failure to do so will result in an unsuccessful upload to the cloud storage.
